1月27日付記事でASLO (American Society of Limnology and Oceanographyの大会を日本に招致したことをご報告しました。2012年とまだ先ですけど、学会誌であるLimnology and Oceanographyは陸水学・海洋学ではトップクラスの雑誌ですし、今から入って様子を見るのもよいかもしれません。
そういう気になるかな、という思惑もあって、ASLOの試みの一つをご紹介します。
会員だけがログインできるページにASLO Web Lecture Seriesというのがあります。それぞれのトピックのトップサイエンティストの講義資料がダウンロードできるというもの。現在入手できるのは下記です。

と書かれていますので、会員であれば自分の講義で使うこともできます。
若手研究者がちょっと専門から外れた分野にチャレンジしたいときにも役立つと思います。
