Asian student grants sponsored by ASLO-Biwako local organizing committee
To whom it may concern,
The local organizing committee of 2012 ASLO Aquatic Science Meeting in JAPAN (ASLO-Biwako) is seeking students who give presentations and want to receive financial support from the committee. This meeting will be held at Biwako Hall etc. from 8 to 13 July 2012 (http://aslo.org/meetings/japan2012/).
We are pleased to pay JPY50,000 to Japanese students and JPY100,000 to other Asian students. Applications by students who are from Asian developing countries are highly welcome, and the grants are not restricted only to ASLO members but also to non-ASLO members.
Please send the same abstract submitted to the ASLO-Biwako, one letter of recommendation from your supervisor and one document which shows your research activities (publications, presentations at international meetings, awards or so on) to Dr. Takehito Yoshida (cty@mail.ecc.u-tokyo.ac) at the University of Tokyo by the end of March 2012. The ASLO-Biwako local committee will select students from applicants and inform you of the result by end of April 2012. After the selection, we also require the certificate of student and the capability of entry visa application to Japan.
